3 Secrets To Achieve Perfectly Clean Glass & Mirrors Every Time.

When it comes time to clean our glass and glass surfaces around the home, there’s nothing worse than putting in all that effort, just to come back and realise that there are nasty-looking streaks or chemical residues left behind.
Cleaning your glass surfaces and windows is actually one of the easiest jobs to get wrong, and there are a few reasons for this. So when it comes to getting that crystal clear sparkle, there are a few things to consider:
1. The glass should be cool at the time of cleaning. If the surface you want to clean gets direct sunlight on it for an extended period of time, it’s best to either clean it before the sun gets to it or wait until after it has had a chance to cool down.
If the surface of the glass is hot during cleaning, the solution can dry too quickly, which may result in streaking.
2. Put away the vinegar. While this old-fashioned remedy may make your glass seem ‘squeaky’ clean, it’s actually very acidic and will wear away at your windows and window seals. The damage may not be seen immediately, but it will deteriorate your surfaces progressively, over time. It is important to use a safe product specifically designed for glass cleaning.
3. Use two microfiber cleaning cloths. The most common mistake made when cleaning glass is using only one cloth. Use two separate cloths to ensure a clear finish, but be sure not to get them mixed up!
Once you spray the glass cleaner, use one microfiber cloth to spread the cleaner around the glass and remove all of the dirt and contaminants. This cloth will end up quite soiled and damp, which is why you won’t want to continue to use it to finish up.
Once the cleaning is done, switch to your second (clean and dry) cloth to simply buff the clean glass to a streak-free lustre, and enjoy the gleaming results!
